Rich

BLACK.
Black as midnight skies
Filled with starshine.
Black as the dark rain drops
On my window pane,
With the glare from the
Street light on the right.
Black as the soil
On the concrete with
The sun shinning lightly
Over the particles.
Black as a shadow
With a soft glow.
Black as a car's tires
Driving down a long
Stretch of road,
With the sun shinning
Bright and bold.

WHITE.
White as the clouds in the sky...
Then a dark cloud happens to fly by.
White as a pearl
Rolling along a table.
It rolls and rolls until
The light tirns to shadow.
But it doesn't stop there. No.
It keeps rolling until
The shadow becomes a soft glow.
White as the glare in a diamond
When held up towards the sun.
Then the day becomes night.
But you can still see the glare
When held up close to a night light.
White as a cotton ball,
Fresh out the pack.
Yes, it's been used,
But it still bounces back.

BROWN.
Brown.
Brown as dusty wood
That's been polished,
Looking like fine Rosewood.
Yellow as a sunflower
Standing tall in the valley.
Looking at them makes us happy.
Orange as fire.
Flames burning through the heart.
It can be used and abused,
But that's not what tears it apart.

CLEAR.
Clear.
Clear as the wind
Blowing through your hair.
Clear as the water
Quenching your thirst.
Clear as the oxygen
Pumping through your lungs.
Clear as LIFE.
Whatever it means; I don't know.
I just know it comes first.
Clear as knowledge
Pumping through your brain,
Gaining a mile-a-minute,
Expanding with every ounce that it gains.
Clear as the BEAUTY that lies within,
Exploding like a drug in your veins.
Clear as your IMAGINATION.
"To be, or not to be?"
Clear as the LOVE GOD
Has given for you and for me.
